Sometimes plug-n-play is darn convenient. Code 49 stacks several functions on one button and the button color can change based on the toggle sequence. Was hoping to plug-and-play the Code 49 in Mackie mode but seeing on other forums that's not going well. Through this process i also figured out how to configure a pre-set with knobs/buttons working multiple tracks (in banks or 4 or 8) for mixing. Assuming for now that's a Sonar "feature" ). Although for a midi track i cloned to thicken, some of the parameters such as Solo button toggle both the original track as well as the cloned track, others do not. The WAI shows green on the active strip and I setup two remaining buttons for shifting one strip left or right to move between strips. Then used ACT learn to set the master fader controller to master volume. I used Sonar's Generic surface to manually program the dials and buttons in a strip parameter configuration (one strip, knobs controlling volume, pan, send level, etc and buttons controlling mute, solo, arm, write enable as well as global transport play, stop, RTZ and record). All the original "Rig" software it came with is useless on windows 10. Class compliant so no special drivers needed. I would recommend it to anyone who uses a lot of MIDI devices as this is going to make your life so much easier.Before tackling the M-audio Code 49, i blew the dust off my old m-audio KeyRig 25 as a warm up.
there are no drivers that are compatible with Lion, for the UF8. Overall this product is great and I am perfectly happy with it. CMEs UF 50 V2 Keyboard Controller is compatible with both Windows XP and Mac OS X. You can also get one of the smaller versions if you have smaller setup. For someone the price might be too high, but you really get what you pay for. The software is well made, fast, easy to use. The build quality is perfect, design looks really good and feels like using high-end device. However you can save routing presets and then use it without a computer which is one of the advantages over other similar products that only work with computer connected. The setup is straightforward although you need to use a computer. I have already used all the connections (USB, DAW, MIDI) and everything works as expected. I have downloaded the last mac intel driver for. UF Editor can edit,transfer and screen all message which is sent by UF,in order to use your UF more. UF Editor is a tool software for CME UF Master Keyboard. But when i tried installing drivers for my CME UF8 keyboard controller.
(ofc no warranty for the vintage gear and price was 80% of this unit) Ive installed Windows 7 and all my devices and softwares just fine. I was looking for a device that would route all my MIDI connections in the studio and I almost bought a vintage 19" rack device (EDIROL UM-880) when I found out about this product.
